Little Katie    (C. japonica)   ACS Registration #3113. Registered in 2019. This 10-year-old C. japonica seedling of 'Tama no ura' and 'San Dimas' firstbloomed in 2011. It was originated, registered and propagated by Bradford Kingof Arcadia, California.  BLOOM: The small to medium sized 7.6 cm x 3.2 cmsemi-double form flower is red. It has yellow anthers and white filaments. Thisbloom falls in one piece with consistent form. The blooms occasionally havepetaloids. PLANT: The plant habit isspreading and dense. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable forlandscaping use. LEAF: The medium greenleaves average 8.9 cm x 4.4 cm with low serration. BLOOMSEASON: Early to midseason.
