ACS, The Camellia Journal, Mar 2007, p.28 with colour photo; Reg. No.2697. Collected from a wild population on Sochong Island, South Korea in 1984. First flowered before 1996. Collected and propagated by Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pa., USA. A 6.5 cm diameter pink, single flower with yellow anthers and light pink filaments. Flowers early to mid-season and has exceptional cold hardiness. Plant growth upright and dense with very glossy foliage. American Camellia Yearbook, 2007, p.69 with colour photo.
