Loraine Gloria (C. hybrid) Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3231, published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 94. A 11 year old sport of ‘Fragrant Pink’, first observed in 2009. It was originated and registered by William Khoury from Fort Valley, Georgia, USA. Flowers fragrant, loose Peony form, miniature, 3.5-5.1 cm in diameter, 3.8 cm in depth. light pink. Filaments light yellow with orange anthers. Profuse bloomer, long lasting flower, Growth rate average, growth habit spreading, medium density. Leaves medium green with medium serration, 5.7 cm long, 3.2 cm wide, Blooming season early to late. Judge Grady Stokes: “The two toned petals give the blooms a more attractive appearance than Fragrant pink. The bloom also has a pleasant fragrance”. Jude Tommy Martin: “There is a decant color brake from the original and the bloom is quite beautiful the way the petals fade from pink to white. The fragrance is also appealing”.
