American Camellia Yearbook, 1979, pp.108, 109, Reg. No.1560: A very large, blush pink, peony form (some-times a thick semi-double) C.japonica chance seedling, that blooms mid-season. Originated in USA by Hugh Shackelford, Albany, Georgia. The 8 year old seedling first bloomed 1977. Average flower size, 14 cm across. Plant growth is dense and medium.
