Mary Potter (C. japonica). NZ Registration No 499 a seedling of 'Tiffany', originated by Alf Gamlin and Viv Joyce which first flowered in the early 1990’s. Plant is an upright, average open growth. Leaves are dark green. The flower is a peony form of 9cm across by 5cm deep with about 30 petals and a large number of petaloids. Colour is pink RHS 48D. Flowers mid to late season and lasts well. Named after the Mary Potter Hospice in Wellington.
