Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1979, Senchinshū, p.143 and Yokoyama, 1975, Gendai Tsubaki Meikan, p.215: Single, evenly opening blooms, cylindrical stamen cluster. White ground with red streaking. Originated in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo, Japan. Resembles Tenninmatsushima. A place name. One of the three famous scenic points of Japan.
