MatthewIsrael (C. reticulata hybrid). published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 115. Registered in 2021. ACSRegistration #3274. It was originated and registered by Pat B. Johnson from Cairo,Georgia, USA. A 12 year old chance seedling of C. reticulata Hybrid 'FrankHouser'. It was first bloomed in 2016. Flower formal double, large 11.4cm in diameter and 5.4 cm in depth, deep rose pink. Leaf dark green, 12.7cm long, and 5.1` cm wide. Plant upright, open growth, average growthrate. Bloom early to mid-season.
