[Variety Source] Selected and bred from 'Sichuan Medium and Small-Leafed Species' by Sichuan Famous Tea Tree Seed Breeding Farm and others. [Characteristics and properties] Small tree type, especially early-born species, strong growth potential, tree posture semi-open. The leaf blade is oval in shape, bearing upward. In the western Sichuan tea area, germination is particularly early, 17-21 days earlier than the control 'Fuding Dabaicha'. The new shoots in spring are yellowish-green with many hairs, and the buds and leaves are fat and strong, with the length of one bud and three leaves being 9.9 centimeters, and the weight of one hundred buds being about 73.9 grams. The ovary is velvety, and the calyx is not velvety. The biochemical sample of spring tea bud and two leaves contains 19.9% of tea polyphenols, 4.6% of amino acids, 3.5% of caffeine, and 50.5% of water leachate. Suitable for green tea and black tea. The system of baking green tea, the appearance of tender, Phi Hao tender green, the inner quality of tender fragrance with hair incense, soup color tender green and bright, taste thick and sweet, the bottom of the leaf is tender green; the system of black tea, the appearance of fat and strong show the golden hair, the soup color is red, thick and bright, sweet, mellow and refreshing. The first growth cycle mu yield of one bud and two leaves 369 kg of fresh leaves, than the control 'Fuding Dabaicha' 12% increase in yield; the second growth cycle mu yield of one bud and two leaves 427 kg of fresh leaves, than the control 'Fuding Dabaicha' 20% increase in yield.
