Chinka Zufu, (before 1700) Watanabe, 1969, pl.76: Large sized, very deep, dark red with white spots, double with 6-7 rows of petals. Listed by Shirai-Bunko, 1812, Tsubaki Natosechō and Yashiro, 1841, Kokon Yōrankō, as a synonym for Ryūjin and (or) Saifu-tobi’iri. Originated in Japan.(Believed extinct.)
