» English Description

American Camellia Yearbook, 1970, p.167, Reg. No.1097: A virus variegated form of Miss Mandie - Red heavily variegated white. Originated by Neal Cox, Georgetown South Carolina, USA.  A sport of "Miss Mandm' that appeared in 1965; found by Neal Cox, Georgetown, S. C., and propagated by Little Red Barn, Georgetown, S. C. It was first observed and propagated ill 1965. It has bloomed 100% true during the last two years on 6 different plants. It was commercially introduced in 1969. Plant growth is upright, dense and medium in rate with dark green leaves of average size. The semidouble, 'Tomorrow' type, bloom is red, heavily var. white, with golden anthers and white filaments. It measures 5 inches untreated grown in greenhouse. Excellent texture and keeping qualities. See colour photo, pl.117, p.61, Encyclopedia of Camellias in Colour, Vol.II, 1978. 高继银、苏玉华、胡羡聪,2007. 《国内外茶花名种识别与欣赏》,第159页。美国南卡罗来纳州Neal Cox先生培育,系‘曼迪小姐’(Miss Mandie)品种之突变。花深红色,有大块的云状白斑,半重瓣型至牡丹型,大到巨型花,最大花径可达15cm,花瓣宽圆形,外翻,花心有筒状雄蕊,花丝白色,花药黄色,偶尔雄蕊出现瓣化小花瓣,花朵稠密。叶片浓绿色,椭圆形,光亮,���有黄斑,植株立性,生长中等。花期中。
