Itō, Jukyū, 1739, Honzō Hanamaki’e, vol.15; Yashiro, 1841, Kokon Yōrankō, vol.310; Kasuya, Kamegorō, 1859, Tsubaki Irohanayose Irotsuki: White, large size, semi-double, 3-4 rows of petals, crimson splashed variegation. Originated in Japan. Similar to ‘Fukuyamagi’. (Believed extinct.)
