It is a true perfection, with a convex floral form, distinctly rounded petals, slightly sinuate at the summit, perfectly imbricated. Cherry-carmine red with broad white, central streaks. Franchetti, 1855, Collezione di Camelie, p.47: Cherry-red small, vivid flower with a wide, central, white stripe, imbricated, laterally toothed, of a new type.
