Inazawa Nursery Co. Pty, Ltd, Catalogue, 1986-1987, p.7, A-334: Dark purple, peony form, medium sized bloom. Originated in Kurume City, Fuku’oka Prefec­ture, Japan. Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.369, colour photo and description: Medium size, purplish, peony form with outer guard petals enclosing the centre of small, irreg­ular petals, of more or less hemispherical form. Leaves mid-green, broad-elliptic, apices blunt-­acute, margins serrate. Blooms mid-season to late. The depth of its purple colour depends on the climate and soil condition.
