American Camellia Yearbook, 1977, p.217, Reg. No.1412: A very large, medium rose, peony form from C.japonica ‘Dr W.G. Lee’ (Doctor Lee) x C.reticulata Mouchang. Origi­nated by Mr Paul Gilley, Grand Ridge, Florida, USA. The peony form, ‘Daikagura’ type, bloom is medium rose with cream anthers and yellow filaments, 10 large petals and 40 petaloids. Average size, 13 cm across x 10 cm deep. Blooms mid-season. Plant growth is upright and spreading with dark green leaves, 10 cm long x 5 cm wide.
