My Valentine (C. japonica). ACS Registration #3138. Registered in 2019. This 12-year-old C. japonica chance seedling of 'Tinsie' first bloomed in 2010. It was originated, registered and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia. Bloom: The medium sized 7.6 cm x 3.2 cm anemone form flower is valentine red with the occasional white streak. It has cream anthers and cream filaments. This profuse bloomer is long lasting with heavy petal texture, consistent form and falls in one piece. Plant: The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The medium green leaves average 7.6 cm x 3.8 cm with low serration. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
