Oyler's Dr. O (C. japonica). published in American Camellia Yearbook 2021, p. 99. Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3241. A 11 year old chance seedling of both Parents Unknow, first bloomed in 2016. It was registered and originated by Donald Oyler from Mobile, Alabama, USA. Flowers semidouble form with three petaloids and very pronounced stamens, medium size, 9.5 cm in diameter, 7.0 in depth, rich red burgundy with golden anthers and cream filaments. Bloom season late. Leaves dark green. 8.9 cm long, 4.4 cm wide. Plant slow growth rate, upright, open growth.
