Colla, 1843, Camelliografia, [illustr.], pp.143, 35: Petals white with a few longitudinal bands of red; the interior almost waratah-like with bright rose towards the petals bases, outer petals, 6-9, disposed in 2-3 rows and separate from the waratah centre similar to ‘Waratah Striata’. Originated in France. Orthographic variant: ‘Paeoniae Arborea’. Probably a synonym for Pompone.
