New Zealand Camellia Bulletin, March 2003, Issue No.144, vol.XXIII, No.2, p.14, Reg. No.447. Registered by Mark Jury, Tikorangi, New Zealand. A chance seedling of C.pitardii var. pitardii which first flowered in 1990. The flowers are semi-double, 7 cm diameter x 3 cm deep, and are bright pink in colour (RHS.CC.62B-65B) with about 15 spatulate petals and a small compact central group of stamens. The plant has a spreading, open growth habit and is slow growing, with a mass of cascading flowers on a groundcover type plant. The dark green leaves are 6 cm long x 3 cm wide. Flowers mid-season.
