Pierce Whiddon (C. japonica). Registered in 2021. ACS Registration #3257. A 10 yearold chance seedling of unknown parents, first bloomed in 2016. It wasregistered and originated by Randolph Maphis from Tallahassee, Florida, USA.Flowers semidouble to loose peony form, dark reddish pink with white anthersand golden filaments, medium size 9.8 cm in diameter, 3.8 cm in depth. Leaves mediumgreen, 10.2 cm long, 5.7 cm wide. Plant growth rate average, bushy, mediumdensity growth. Bloom in mid-season.
