ACS, The Camellia Journal, Nov. 2001, p.21, colour photo p.20, Reg. No.2559. A formal double chance seedling with dark pink blooms having darker pink flashes. Petals are occasionally cupped. Heavy petal texture. The plant is vigorous and upright and blooms mid-season. Originated by Carl M. Allen, Jr, Wilmington, N.C., USA. American Camellia Yearbook, 2001, p.97, colour photo p.c15. The 10 year old seedling first flowered in 1994. Flowers measure 8.2 cm across x 5 cm deep, with 85 petals. The dark green leaves are 7.5 cm long x 3.2 cm wide.
