ACS Registration #3034 . 2017 This 14-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2012. It was originated, registered and propagated by Jerry Hogsette of Gainesville, Florida, USA. Bloom: The large sized 10.1 cm – 12.7 cm x 5.1 cm -7.6 cm (treated 12.7 cm – 14.0 cm x 10.1 cm – 12.7 cm ) loose peony to semi-double form flower is bright coral red at the edges fading to deep rose pink towards the center with darker veining. It has bright yellow anthers and light pink fading to white filaments. This profuse bloomer falls in one piece and is long lasting with heavy petal texture and consistent form. The blooms generally have 4 - 5 petaloids. Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is vigorous. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 11.4 cm x 6.3 cm with low serration. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
