Very compact bush with good foliage, all of its branches covered each year with buds. Its flowers are of an excellent imbri­cated form, of a beautiful pink speckled with white. Auguste van Geert Catalogue, No.71, 1874­-1875, p.85: (L.van Houtte), Beautiful pink, often speckled pure white, perfect imbrication. Free growing. Rollisson’s Plant Catalogue, 1877-1878: Rose, often spotted with pure white, beautifully imbricated. Originated in Belgium by L. van Houtte.
