Rosália de Castro

Alfredo Moreira da Silva Catalogue, No.103, 1968-1969, p.27, ref 128: Large, orange red, semi-double. Claimed to be a cross between C.reticulata Captain Rawes and C.japonica ‘Mathotiana’ (Grand Sultan). Originated in Portugal. Asociasión Española de la Camelia, Camelia, July 2004, p.30 with colour photo as ‘Rosalia de Castro’. Large flower, at least 12 cm in diameter. Semi-double, red (RHSCC 53C) with darker veining. 20 petals, wavy and notched. A small number of petaloids. Stamens in groups, mixed with the petaloids, cream filaments and yellow anthers.. Strong growth. Leaves 10 cm x 4.5 cm, bright dark green, elliptic. Flowers mid-season. Rosalia de Castro is a famous Gallician poet. Created by da Silva, who named it in Portuguese. Synonym; ‘Rosalía de Castro’.

Rosalia de Castro快乐城堡(C. hybrid)山茶杂交种。1968，葡萄牙。传说是C. reticulata 'Captain Rawes`x C. hybrid 'Mathotiana'(Grand Sultan)。半重瓣、朱红色、大轮。花名：西班牙作家与诗人(罗莎莉亚•德•卡斯特罗)(1837-1885)。
