ACS Registration #3028 . 2017 This 9-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 2008. It was originated and propagated by Clarence and Lillian Gordy of Ocala, Florida, USA and registered by The American Camellia Society of Fort Valley, Georgia, USA. Bloom: The large sized 11.4 cm x 6.3 cm rose form double to formal double form flower is pink shading to lighter pink edges. It has yellow anthers and white filaments. This profuse bloomer falls in one piece and is long lasting. Plant: The plant habit is upright. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition use. The American  Camellia Society held a ceremony on Dec. 7, 2018 at the Carter Center in Alanta, Georgia to present the Carters with Camellia japonica 'Jimmy Carter' and 'Rosalynn Carter'.
