Stowe, 1951, American Camellia Yearbook, p.282, illustrating facing p.288: Irregular, complete double, 8 cm across x 6 cm deep, of a delicate shade of pink with a lavender tinge at the tips of the petals. Its form is similar to Debutante. The plant is a slow, upright grower, blooming mid-season. Originated in USA as a chance seedling, by Mrs & Mr J.L. Kahn, Pensacola, Florida. In 1969 Australian Matthews invalidly reused this cultivar name to his Camellia sasanqua cultivar.
