» English Description

SCCS., 1951, The Camellia. Its Culture and Nomenclature: White to cream suffused with pink specks and small blotches. Medium, full peony form. Vigorous, compact growth with dark green leaves, heavily veined, deeply serrate, oval, apex abrupt acute. Flower 8-11 cm across, 18-24 guard petals in 3-4 rows and 75-100 petaloids. Flowers mid-season. A 14 year old seedling of unknown parentage, originated by G.W. Wilkinson, Pensacola, Florida, USA, that first flowered 1949. Orthographic error: ‘Rex Crowley’.
