Encyclopedia of Camellias in Colour, 1972, vol.I, p.25.; Seibundō Shinkōsha, 1980, Senchinshū, p.162 colour photo, p.256, description: Medium sized, single, wide opening, rose-pink finely veined deeper with some white marbling. Central stamen cluster, spreading in top half, yellow anthers. whitish fila­ments. joined for lower third. Leaves broad oval, mid-green, abrupt acute, prominent venation, serrate. Flowers mid-season. Originated in Ishikawa Prefecture. Japan. The original tree was found in the Kenroku Gardens, Kanagawa City. Named and released by Hisakichi Kimura in 1966.
