American Camellia Yearbook, 1965, pp.65, 245, Reg. No.786: A sport of Sadie Mancill first observed 1959. Propagated by Kenneth G. Durio Jr., Opelousas, Louisiana, USA. Plant growth is medium, open and rapid. The bright green leaves average 10cm x 5.5 cm. Flowers semi-double, similar to ‘Herme’ (Hikarugenji) are 13 cm across x 7.5 cm deep with 15-17 petals and 7-9 petaloids. Colour is deep, soft pink, veined rose and edged with white. Anthers yellow and filaments cream. Similar colour to Tomorrow’s Dawn. Blooms mid-season.
