Yashiro, Kōken, 1841, Kokon Yōrankō, vol.309; Chinka Zufu (before 1700), Watanabe, 1969, pl.163: A medium size, white, semi-double, peppered with crimson specks and dashes, white filaments and pale yellow anthers. Originated in Japan. Synonym: ‘Edo-sarasa’. (Believed extinct.)
