Kasuya, Kamegorō, 1859, Tsubaki Irohanayose Irotsuki with the characters ‘sasa’ = bamboo and ‘nami’ = waves, that is waves or ripples in the grass. A medium sized, double white, with red splashes and pointed petals. See: JCS., 1964, Tsubaki, No.7, pp.30, 35. Different reading: ‘Sazamami’. (Believed extinct.)
