Encyclopedia of Camellias in Colour, vol.I, 1972, pl.585, p.223, description, p.397: Large, white, single, 9-10 cm. across, 7-8 petals, showing some pink near margins and on reverse, crinkled and waved. Stamens in a small, spreading group, anthers brownish-yellow, filaments creamy. Originated in Angyō, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
