Shangzhi Fendaixue

Shangzhi Fendaixue (C. ‘NightRider’ X C. minutiflora). China Regn. #2020-312. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2020, No.12, p.57. This cultivar was bred by Li Xiangpeng, Feng Shucheng, Zhang Yali and others in Shanghai Botanical Garden. 'Night Rider' as the female parent and C. minutiflora as male parent. The hybrid bloomed for the first time in March 2019. Sepals or bracts arranged in tile-like shape, ovate, yellow-green or green, slightly hairy. Flower  pink (RHS 63B-D), single petal type, miniature flower, flower diameter 3.0～5.0cm, thickness about 2.5cm, the petal texture is thin, the top is slightly concave, ovoid, with less than 8 petals. The stamens are 2 to 3 rounds, cylindrical, approximately 1.0cm at the base; styles are 2.0-3.0cm long, stigmas are 3-lobed, and lobes are 0.1-0.2cm long. The pistils and stamens are nearly equal in height, the ovary is glabrous, and the flowers are dense. The leaves are dark green, thin, with a length of 3.0～8.0cm and a width of 1.0～2.5cm, ovate, the back of the leaf is densely covered with white hair when young, the edge of the leaf is serrated, the base of the leaf is wedge-shaped, and the tail tip. The plant is shrub-like, half-opened to open; top buds are purple-red, then turn green gradually. During the flowering period, Shanghai area is from early March to mid-April.

上植粉黛雪 Camellia 'Shangzhi Fendaixue' 中国茶花登录号：2020-312。《中国花卉园艺》2020年第12期57页。本品种由上海植物园李湘鹏、奉树成、张亚利等培育，系2014年4月以威廉姆斯杂交种（C.x williamsii）‘黑骑士’（Night Rider）为母本，微花连蕊茶（C. minutiflora）为父本杂交而得，2019年3月首次开花。萼片或苞片覆瓦状排列，卵形，黄绿或绿色，略被毛。花朵粉红色（RHS 63B-D)，单瓣型，微型花，花径3.0～5.0cm，厚度约2.5cm，花瓣质地薄，顶端微凹，卵形，花瓣8枚以下。雄蕊2～3轮，筒型，基部连生约1.0cm；花柱长2.0～3.0cm，柱头3浅裂,裂片长0.1～0.2cm，雌蕊雄蕊近等高，子房无毛,开花稠密。叶片深绿色，薄质，长3.0～8.0cm，宽1.0～2.5cm，卵形，叶背幼时密被白毛，叶缘细齿状，叶基楔形，尾尖。植株灌木状，半开张至开张；顶芽紫红色，后逐转绿色。花期中，上海地区3月上旬到4月中旬。
