» English Description
Sakuden, 1630, Hyakuchinshū: White, very large double. Satomi was of the opinion that this was the same as the modern ‘Sodekakuchi’ (Gauntlettii). The name means ‘sleeve of white silk appearing behind green leaves.’ Originated in Japan. See Kyōto Engei Kurabu, 1961, Tsubaki Tokushū, No.2, p.96.
