ACS Registration #3072. This 7-year-old C. japonica chance seedling of ‘Tar Baby’ first bloomed in 2011. It was originated, registered and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia. Bloom: The miniature sized 5.71 cm x .70 cm formal double form flower is medium pink with light pink frosting toward the center of each petal.This profuse bloomer falls in one piece, is long lasting, has heavy petal texture, and consistent form.This bloom has incurved petals. Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. The medium green leaves average 8.25 cm x 4.44 cm with low serration. Late.
