from Nagasaki Pref. Japan Camellia No.78, August 2005: A crossing of Tama-no-ura × Iwane-shibori. Double, somewhat tubular, deep red bordered white, medium to large, tubular to split stamens, blooming in mid to late season. Leaves elliptic, medium size. Branches and tree upright growth. Originated by Kaoru Kusumoto. ‘Hizen’ is an old name for part of the present Nagasaki and Saga Prefectures.
