ACS Registration #3055 . 2017 This 14-year-old C. japonica seedling of 'Scarlet Glory' first bloomed in 2011. It was originated, registered and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia, USA. Bloom: The large to very large sized 11.4 cm -14.0 cm x 5.1 cm semi-double form flower is dark red. It has yellow anthers and red filaments. This profuse bloomer falls in one piece and is long lasting with has consistent form. Plant: The plant habit is upright and open. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves average 10.1 cm x 6.3 cm with low serration. Bloom season: Midseason to late.
