Tengchong Yanhong

Flowers deep pink, rose double form, 9-10 cm in diameter; petals 20-24 in 4-5 whorls, ovate imbricate arrangement; stamens a few, single of several fascicles in the center, pistils rudimentary, infertile; very floriferous. Leaves 8.0-9.5 cm long, 3.7-4.3 cm wide, apices acuminate, downward bending, bases cuneate, blade flat. Fl. late Jan. to mid Mar. From Tengchong of Yunnan, China.

管开云、李纪元、王仲朗主编，2014. 《中国茶花图鉴》, p. 307。原产地：中国云南省腾冲县。性状描述：花桃红色，玫瑰重瓣型，中型花，花径9~10cm，花瓣20~24枚，卵圆形，4~5轮覆瓦状排列，雄蕊少，单个或多个簇生于花心，雌蕊退化，不结实，花量稠密。叶片绿色，椭圆形，长8~9.5cm，宽3.7~4.3 cm，先端渐尖，下弯，基部楔形，叶面较平展；植株开展，生长中等。花期：1月下旬至3月中旬。识别点：本品种花色桃红，花瓣呈覆瓦状排列，雄蕊单个或多个簇生于花心。
