Tianshi

Tianshi (C. japonica). China Regn. #2020-319. China Flowers & Horticulture, 2020, No.12, p.59. This cultivar was bred by Zhou Li and others in Nanshan Botanical Garden in Chongqing City. It was selected in 2010 from the seedlings of ‘Zhaojun Chusai’ as the female parent and ‘Xizi Xianghe’ as the male parent. The plants are open, the branches and leaves are dense, the growth is vigorous, and the flowers are abundant. The leaves are dark green, elliptical, flat, apex acuminate, and wedge-shaped at the base, with shallow teeth. The length of the leaf is 7~7.5cm and the width is 3-3.5cm. The flowers are white, semi-double-petaled. Flower diameter 10~12cm, large flower; about 13 petals, nearly round, thick, slightly wrinkled, loosely arranged; stamens are yellow, the base is connected, a few stamen petals are transformed into small petals; the pistil stigma 3, free ; The calyx is green with 8 pieces. Flowering from November to February of the following year.

天使 Camellia  japonica 'Tianshi' 中国茶花登录号：2020-319。《中国花卉园艺》2020年第12期59页。本品种由重庆市南山植物园周利等培育，系2010年以川山茶‘昭君出塞’为母本，与‘西子香荷’为父本杂交播种苗选育获得，2018年11月初花。植株开张，枝叶茂密，生长旺盛，花量多。叶深绿色、椭圆形，叶面平展，先端渐尖，基部楔形，叶齿较浅，叶长7~7.5cm，宽3-3.5cm。花白色，半重瓣型。花径10~12cm，大型花；花瓣13枚左右，近圆形，厚实，略皱褶，排列较松散；雄蕊黄色，基部连生，有少量雄蕊瓣化成小花瓣；雌蕊柱头3枚，离生；花萼绿色8枚。花期11 月至翌年2月。
