Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.37, colour photo and description: Medium size, white, wide cup-shaped single with 5 broad, rounded, overlapping petals and a central stamen cylinder with white filaments, joined for the lower half and yellow anthers. Blooms mid-season to late. Leaves shining mid-green, broad-ovate, apices abrupt acute, margins obscurely serrate. Originated in Okayama Prefec­ture, Japan. Named and released by Siichirō Sasai in 1978.
