Vertie LeBlanc      (C. japonica)   Registered in 2020. ACS Registration #3217.This 20 year-old C. japonica chanceseedling first bloomed in 2003. It was originated, registered and propagated byPat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia, USA. Bloom The small to medium sized 7.6cmx 3.8cm formal double form flower is light pink in the center petals to darkpink in the outer petals. The bloom has occasional dark pink buttons in centerof petals. This cultivar falls in one piece, is long lasting, has heavy petaltexture and has consistent form. Plant The plant habit is upright anddense. The growth rate is average. The plant is suitable for landscaping andexhibition. Leaf The dark green leaves average 7.6cm x 4.4cm with low serration. Bloom season Midseason to late.
