China Regn No.50, China Flowers & Horticulture, June 2009, No.12, p.49 with colour photo; Planted in Hemotang Temple in the Ming Dynasty, and propagated in 1992 by the local Shi Zhengyi people. Flowers rose form, deep red, 13-15 cm diameter, Petals 28-32 in 4-5 whorls, slightly incurved. Flowers mid-season. Leaves flat, elliptic, 9.5-12.5 cm x 5-6 cm, apices acuminate and reflexed backward, bases cuneate to wide cuneate, margins prominently serrated. Flowers mid-season.
