Xiao Dongfangliang

Chen, Shao Yun, 1985, Camellias from Zhejiang, p.100: Flowers scarce, fleshy white, petals in 7-9 rows, irregular, roundish, notched at the apex and edges, separate at the base. Buds elliptic, green, light yellow­ish brown tomentose. Flowers mid-season. A dwarf tree, less than one metre high; branches slender. Leaves elliptic, 6.5-7.4 cm long x 3.6-3.8 cm wide, tapering to apex, glossy dark green, margins serrulate, midrib elevated, other venation indistinct; petioles 8-10 mm long. Origi­nated in China. 小东方亮 Camellia japonica ‘Xiaodong Fangliang’。汪亦萍、俞仲辂，中国建筑工业出版社，1989《山茶花》第43页。全文瓣型，灌木，植株矮小。叶椭圆形，先端渐尖略伸长，基部阔楔形，长6-7厘米，宽3.5-3.8厘米。叶质较硬厚，锯齿细锐。表面暗绿色，中脉明显，侧脉微凹，网脉清楚，背面淡绿色，多栓皮瘤。柄长0.5厘米或稍长。花蕾椭圆形。苞萼片黄绿色。花白色透红，尤以近中心瓣红晕较深。花瓣倒卵形，约10余轮，排列整齐，盛开时如盆状。花径7-8厘米。花期：2月中旬-3月下旬。

陈绍云等,1985《浙江山茶花》100页。小灌木，枝条纤细披斜。叶片椭圆形，长6.5~7.4cm，宽3.6~3.8cm，先端渐尖，基部圆楔形，叶缘稍向背卷，叶深绿色，有光泽，叶缘锯齿状，叶质一般；主脉隆起，细脉不明显。花白色，花径5.5~6.5cm，花瓣排列7~9轮，60枚左右，花瓣规划排列似杯状；花瓣近圆形，瓣边与侧面有多处破碎状有缺口，瓣基部离生，质地一般。花蕾椭圆形，绿色，被淡黄褐色茸毛。苞萼15-16片，苞状柄不明显。花期3月。
