Leaves obovate, thinly coriaceous, 11-19 cm long, 5-8 cm wide, apices acute with a 1-1.5 cm long acumen, bases obtuse or slightly rounded; lateral veins 10-13 pairs, equally raised on both surfaces in the dry state; glabrous, margins serrulate, petioles 4-7 mm long, Flowers axillary, minute, white, pedicels 3-5mm long; bracts 2, born on the middle of the pedicel, opposite; sepals 5, ovoid, 3 mmlong apices acute, ciliate; petals 6, glabrous, outer 3 petals broadly elliptic, 8-9 mm long, slightly coriaceous, inner 3 obovate, 1-1.2 cm long, basally connate; stamens 7-9 mm long, filaments free; ovaries grey-pubescent, 3-locular; styles 6 mm long, slender, glabrous, apically 3-cleft.

Pedicels 3-5 mm long. Bracts 2. Sepals 5, ciliate. Petals 6, 8-12 mm long, broadly elliptic to obovate, united at the base with the staminal column. Androecium 7-9 mm, filaments free from the base. Gynoecium glabrous, about 6 mm long, 3 styles, slightly di-vided at the tip, ovary tomentose. Blooming season: late autumn to winter. Austro-Sin.)；扶缓，陈少卿12034，12129。云南：思茅，满金山，冯国楣14131。【形态特征】灌木；嫩枝有柔毛。叶倒卵形，薄革质，长11-19厘米，宽5-8厘米，先端急尖，尖头长1-1.5厘米；基部钝或略圆，侧脉10-13对，干后在两面均突起，无毛，边缘有细锯齿，叶柄长4-7毫米。花腋生，细小，白色，花梗长3-5毫米；苞片2，位于花梗中部，对生；萼片5，圆卵形，长3毫米，先端钝，有睫毛；花瓣6片，无毛，外面3片阔椭圆形，长8-9毫米，稍带革质，内面3片倒卵形，长1-1.2厘米，基部连生；雄蕊长7-9毫米，花丝离生，子房被灰毛，3室；花柱长6毫米，纤细，无毛，先端3裂。

高继银、帕克斯、杜跃强，2005. 《山茶属植物主要原种彩色图集》浙江科学技术出版社，第220页。花白色，花径1.5~2.2厘米，花多腋生。花柄长3~5毫米。苞片2枚。萼片5枚，边缘有睫毛。花瓣6枚，长8~12毫米，阔椭圆形至倒卵形，基部与雄蕊柱连生。雄蕊长7~9毫米，花丝基部离生。雌蕊长约6毫米，花柱先端3浅裂，子房被绒毛。花期秋末至冬季。蒴果三球形，直径1.0~2.0厘米，3室，果皮薄。叶倒卵形，先端急尖，基部钝形，长10.0-19.0厘米，宽5.0~8.0厘米，边缘具细叶齿，薄革质，叶背略被毛，中脉和侧脉两面凸起。叶柄长3~7毫米。灌木，高可达3米，嫩枝有柔毛，老枝光滑，灰褐色。分布：云南省南部和广西壮族自治区西部，海拔250-1300米。可寻地点:广西壮族自治区乐业县雅长林场。
