This 15-year-old C. japonica chance seedling of ‘China Doll’ first bloomed in 2008. It was originated, registered and propagated by Pat B. Johnson of Cairo, Georgia, USA. Bloom: The small sized 6.3cm x 2.5cm for-mal double to rose form double form flower is white shading to pink at the edges. The blooms are long lasting, fall in one piece with consistent form and heavy petal texture. Plant: The plant habit is upright and dense. The growth rate is slow. The plant is suitable for landscaping and exhibition uses. Leaf: The dark green leaves have low serration and average 7.6cm x 3.8cm. Bloom season: Early to midseason.
