Atkin’s Gift (C. japonica) ACS, Reg. No.2614.  American Camellia Yearbook, 2004, p90 This 11-year-old C. japonica chance seedling first bloomed in 1992. Originated by Ed Atkins of Shalimar, FL and propagated by John Grimm of Metairie, LA. Plant: Spreading with average growth rate and can be used as a specimen plant. Leaf: Dark green leaves are 4¼ x 2 inches. Bloom: The 41⁄2"formal double flower has 110 pink petals which show consistent form falling in one piece and is suitable for exhibition. It blooms early to midseason.
