Donglin

Feng, Guomei, July 1989, Chuxiong Camellia Catalogue with colour illustration: Large, 12-14 cm across, deep pink semi-double with 2-3 rows of irregular petals and a central stamen cluster broken by a few petaloids. Leaves mid-green, elliptic, apices blunt acute. Blooms mid-season. Originated in Chuxiong, China.

The cultivar originated in Chuxiong's Zixi Mountains of Yunnan, China. Flowers peach red, rose double form, large, 1o-13 cm across; Petals 14-18 in 3-4 whorls of irregular petals , broad elliptic, slightly incurved; Stamens divided into several fascicles in a few petaloids; Pistils mostly rudimentary, a few developed and fertile. Leaves  elliptic, 7-9 cm long, 3.5-5.5 cm wide, apices cuminate, bases cuneate, flat, bright in surface. Plant open, grow strongly, branches flourished. The flowering season is from late December to next early February. The cultivar could be distinguished by smaller and flat leaf, branches flourished with many axillary flower buds.

性状描述：花桃红色，玫瑰重瓣型，大型花，花径10~13cm，花瓣14~18枚，宽圆形，微内曲，3~4轮排列，雄蕊多，分数束于花心，雌蕊多数退化，少数能结实，花量稠密。叶椭圆形，长7~9cm，宽3.5~5.5cm，先端渐尖，基部楔形，叶身平，叶面光亮；植株开张，生长势强，枝条茂盛。花期：12月下旬至翌年2月上旬。
