Goeku-shirotama

JCS, Tsubaki, No.33, 1994, p.35: Selected by Hiroshi, Matsuda, Okinawa. Flower white, small, cup-shaped single. Blooms mid-season. Leaves medium sized, elliptic. Shrub spreading and sturdy. A white C.hozanensis. From an ancient tree in Goeku, Okinawa, Japan. Goeku is the place where the Ryūkyū king Shōtaikyū stayed in the 15th century.
