[Variety Origin] Selected by Tea Research Institute of Hunan Provincial Academy of Agricultural Sciences from a single strain of 'Tieguanyin' natural hybrid progeny. [Characteristics] Small tree type, medium leaf type, late-blooming species. The tree posture is semi-open, with strong growth potential, medium branching part and medium branching density. Leaf blade attachment state slightly upward slanting, long elliptic, 11.4 centimeters long, 4.5 centimeters wide, leaf green, leaf tip blunt tip. In Changsha area, the exploitation period is generally in the middle and end of March, and the full bloom period of one bud and two leaves is generally in the end of March; the germination density is medium, with less velvet; the length of one bud and three leaves is 5.5 centimeters, and the weight of one bud and three leaves in one hundred buds is 78.4 grams. Flowering period is from mid to late October to mid to late November every year; petals white, ovary hairy, pistil and so on higher than the stamens. Spring tea bud two leaves containing tea polyphenols 22.1%, amino acids 4.4%, caffeine 3.5%, water leachate 37.8%. Suitable for green tea and black tea. Make green tea, the appearance of the tight knot still emerald green with hair, soup color tender green and bright, clear chestnut aroma, taste fresh and refreshing; make black tea, tight knot wurun, a little with golden hair, sweet aroma with fruity, sweet and mellow taste. The first growth cycle mu yield of one bud and two leaves 890 kg of fresh leaves, than the control 'Fuding big white tea' 150% increase in yield; the second growth cycle mu yield 895 kg, than the control 'Fuding big white tea' 44% increase in yield.
