Kagami

Yokoyama & Kirino, 1989, Nihon no Chinka, p.129, colour photo and description: Medium size, soft pink, fading to white at the centre, cup-shaped to ballon flower shaped, single, with 5 petals with rolled-in margins, broad, central stamen column with creamy filaments, joined for the lower half and yellow anthers. Blooms early to mid-season. Leaves dark green, elliptic-lanceolate to broad-lanceolate, apices acuminate, margins sharply serrate. Originated in Hiroshima City. Named and released by Nobuo Sasai in 1981.
