van Houtte Catalogue, 1841, 7:12: Beautiful white striped with red. Imbricated. Verschaffelt, 1848, Nouvelle Iconographie, Book III, pl.I: Leaves oval-acuminate, prominent venation, strongly serrate, 10-11 cm long x 7-8 cm wide. Anemone form bloom about 10 cm across, depressed centre, white ground, dotted and striated pink; petals numerous, regularly imbricated and almost all intersected by a pink stripe. Charles van Geert Nursery Catalogue, 1845, p.8: Imbricated, beautiful white striped red. Originated in Italy by Dr Sacco, Milan. Syn­onyms: ‘Incarnata Alba’, ‘Shepherd’s Incarnata’, ‘Leda Vera’, ‘Leda Superba’. Pseudonym: Cleopatra according to van Houtte Catalogue, 1858, 72:16. Sports: Leda Alba, Leda Superba, Wedding Pink.
